SET CAMP

Our pre-Fourth of July time last week was filled with our annual SET Camp here at L.G. Cook, and it was (as always) a great time. We were consistently impressed with the intelligence, creativity, initiative, and curiosity our campers displayed.

I could type more about it, but since it's Session One of Summer Camp right now, that's a lie and I CAN'T type more about.

Suffice to say, there were rockets and contraptions and ocean robots and marble roller coasters and crimes scenes to be investigated and bald eagles.

That's right. Bald eagles. (Well, singular. There was a bald eagle. See more in the next post.)

A local official came in to assist our CSI class in their investigation.
...and briefly consider them as suspects.

;';'

Rocketry started with paper airplanes...

Moved on to air powered launchers...

Water Launchers...

Actual launchers...

...and even advanced trigonometry.  (Really.)

SET will be back next summer with some brand new classes and exciting changes. If you've never tried it, we suggest you give this mini-camp at the start of the summer a try.

Okay. I'm going back outside now.
