Session #5!

Another week, another full Summer Camp, and another Monday All-Camp Photo!

And we couldn't be more excited for "Perfectly Functioning Time Machine Week." The above sign is clearly an error.

Speaking of Time Machine, lets flash backward to see how that stunning group photo is accomplished!

We take an empty field, and prepare it for New Games!

Before New Games, we quickly fill it with our campers and staff.

And then we take a picture. I guess there really isn't that much that goes into it.

But All-Camp photos aren't all we do on Mondays! We start on our friendship bracelets!

We take our first trip to the waterfront!

We're serious about it!

But not that serious.

And though we do other things on Mondays in 2017, we do take All-Camp photos as well. We've certainly proved that.

NEXT TIME: More photos from Session #5! More photos, but most likely with less people in them.

Session #4: Camp Monopoly

It's that time again...
.

We need to play...

Camp Monopoly!

But why do we NEED to play it?

Because Mr. Mister Moneybags has yet again arrived...

With plans...

To purchase 4-H Camp for himself!

Apparently...

By celebrating TOO MANY HOLIDAYS...

In a single week...

We violated our charter...

And Camp was now up for sale!

Or something like that.

The logic was shaky at best.

But it's okay!

The campers have the chance to outbid...

Mr. Mister Moneybags...

And that's why we NEED to play...

All-Camp Monopoly.

It makes perfect sense.

If you don't think about it too much.

So we started at GO...

And off...

We went...

To save Camp!

And so we traveled...

From Camp property...

To Camp property...

Performing various tasks...

Playing...

Strange...

Games...

And meeting...

A whole...

Host...

Of outrageous...

And wacky...

And...

Outrageously wacky...

Landlords who we needed...

To devise a way...

To purchase Camp from.

And so the...

The campers commenced...

With...

Bartering...

And negotiating...

And...

Rolling...

And walkin'...

And wheelin'...

And dealin'...

And mappin'...

And planning...

And plotting...

And convincing...

And cajoling...

Their way...

To buying...

Each property...

On Camp.

Along the way...

They made some...

New friends...

And found...

Creative ways...

To lend...

A helping hand...

To all sorts...

Of...

Goofy characters.

Then we'd roll the dice...

And be on our way...

Again.

Not only did the Green Team buy the infirmary...

They started building some cabins on top of it...

To raise the rent as well.

Yes,

Our campers...

Had to get quite clever...

To be able to...

Big ticket items...

Like...

The...

Rec Hall...

And even...

Cleverer...

To acquire...

Bigger...

Ticket...

Items...

Like...

Camp Central itself.

But in the end...

(Wouldn't you know it?)

Our campers prevailed...

(Like they almost always seem to...)

And though...

No team alone...

Had the assets...

To outbid Mr. Mister Moneybags...

When all the teams combined...

And put their properties together...

They could buy back Camp no problem!

Cause Camp doesn't belong to one person!

Camp is a home for everyone!

And every camper...

And counselor...

Has equal ownership...

Over our...

Little community...

In the woods.

So take that,

Mr...

Mister Moneybags!

So in conclusion,

The campers had won their game of Monopoly...

And Mr. Mister Moneybags...

Had to put his money...

Where...

His mouth was...

Because the campers...

Of 4-H Camp...

Had saved the day...

On a...

Friday afternoon...

Yet again.
