Session #2: A Dino-riffic (Talking Juras-tastic) Start of the Week

Yes, Session #2 of Summer 2015 is underway!

Welcome to scenes from a Monday Evening - beginning with Cabin Dinosaur Unity Night.

Featuring the Long-Necked Apatosaurus of Cabin #11.

Not to be out done, the Towel-a-dactyls of Cabin #10.

Monday evening, and it already feels like we've all been here for days. As Camp should be.

Don't let the tiny arms fool you. Cabin #1 is not to be messed with.

These dinos are ready for dinner.

All right, Senior Staff, relax, it's Monday. Save some dinosaur faces for the rest of the week.

Everyone loves lasagna dinner.

See?

Matty shows off on his head just how quickly Viking Week can become Jurassic Week.

Out to Flag Lowering!

Our pro CIT's  provide the example of how our Flag Ceremony goes.

And then a quiet evening stroll to Vespers Island.

I would have to say...

...there are worse evening commutes out there.

Over a bridge...

And into a moment of calm, reflective silence.

A story from our staff. And then back to the craziness of Camp.

Renowned Paleontologist Cornelius Von Fossil joined us for the Opening Campfire.

He helped us meet the counselors in their skits, he introduced the Animal Groups for the week, and brought up some dubious facts about the abundance of fossils in Stokes State Forest.

He also seemed to accidentally indicate Camp was the site of some genetic experiments he was working on to bring dinosaurs back to life. Uh-oh. This sounds exactly like the kind of thing that usually gets out of hand here later in the week...

And that's Monday night!

NEXT TIME: Y'know. More Camp.
