Yes, we've already held our Fall Family Hike Day and are deep into autumn events at Camp!
And YES, we still have plenty of "Summer Camp Reviewing" to do as we sort through our treasure trove of pictures from the summer-that-was in 2016.
Today, we will take a deep dive with an extensive look into one of our new fads and most popular classes...

| The first "thing" is a Disc. |
 |
| A snazzy disc with the Camp logo on it, nonetheless. |

| Available at your local Camp Store! (Well, it would be if we didn't sell out of them this summer. But we're getting more.) |

| The second thing is the basket! |
 |
| The target for our course, the equivalent of that little hole in the ground on a golf course, the goal of our disc golfin' endeavor! |

| For Summer 2016, we had the first five holes of the L.G. Cook 4-H Camp Disc Golf Course set up and ready to go. |
 |
| The course winds... |
 |
| Through the bowl... |
 |
| Behind the cabins... |
 |
| Past the soccer field... |
 |
| And deep into the woods. |
 |
| (Yup. Every single creature on Camp loves the Disc Golf course.) |
 |
| Our campers tee off... |
 |
| From a designated spot... |
 |
| For each hole. |
 |
| They consider the lay of the land... |
 |
| Line up their shot... |
 |
| And let their drive... |
 |
| Rip... |
 |
| Trying to get as much distance... |
 |
| (And hit as few obstacles) as possible. |

| Then Disc Golfers celebrate their shots... |
 |
| And each others shots... |
 |
| And together plan their next moves and review current strategies... |
 |
| Depending on how their discs lie. |
 |
| For Disc Golfers aren't pitted against each other! |
 |
| It's all of us together against the course! |
 |
| Yes, for we must traverse the same... |

| Wide open fields and... |
 |
| Avoid the same trees... |
 |
| As we slowly... |
 |
Approach the basket...

| To accomplish... |

Of throwing the thing...

For Summer 2017, we're aiming not just to put the finishing touches on these first five holes, but have an entire 9 Hole L.G. Cook 4-H Camp Disc Golf Course up and ready to go.We'll be adding another Disc Golf class for next summer as well, as well as offering some opportunists to play this off-season.
