CAMP MONOPOLY!

Oh no! We've had a Friday afternoon activity development! The sinister Mr. Mister Moneybags arrived on Camp insisting he was about to purchase Camp for his evil corporation!
According to the fine fine print of our Camp Charter, he can do that if the Camp community ever mis-rembers it's own history! (Which we might have done during our Wednesday night activity. But that's a story for another time.)

But wait! Cabin #1 Counselor Aaron Lewy has an objection!

He say's that Mr. Mister Moneybags didn't read the fine fine fine print which states that the current campers can out bid any offer!

And Cabin #10 counselor Sarah Kleppe adds that that doesn't even include the fine fine fine fine print!

And what does that fine fine fine fine print say?! That the bidding war will occur via an all-out game of Camp Monopoly!

That's right. Camp. Monopoly.

Yes, Campers must roll their way around the Camp Map and purchase as many properties as they can before Mr. Mister Moneybags gets the chance!

With our own Camp currency.

Woodrow's on the $100? Of course he is.

But Carl's on the $500.

Let's do this...

And buy back our Camp!
A host of...

Crazy characters...

Managed the properties...

And kept all transactions interesting.
Yes, crazy...
Crazy characters.

Craft Shop:

Purchased!

Dining Hall is of course the big ticket item. (Our Boardwalk.)
And of course you could add cabins to a property...

To increase the value.

Cause we love cabins.

And passing GO...

Got you two Woodrow's every time.

Which went a long way toward future property acquisitions.

To gain more cash we also had Chance...

And Community Chest.
And Chance again.

This is what Chance looks like.

Nice, got the Rec Hall! A good purchase.

Get those Camp bucks!

Follow the rules of the board...

(To the letter)...

And let's win our Camp back!

Of course, another sure-fire way to earn was...

Simply to charm Mr. Mister Moneybags into being charitable.

Bealer Bucks were a big win.

Someone better buy Founder's Rock! We need that!

The Bowl's a good buy for the Blue Team.

But then they add a couple cabins...

And you don't want to land on that.

Nice! The Dining Hall has been purchased!

That means we did it!

All properties have been bought by campers! But will it be enough to defeat Mr. Mister Moneybags!?

They count...

And add...

And confer...

But no single, individual team had enough to outbid Mr. Mister Moneybags! Oh no! Disaster!

But wait! A camper has an idea! What if all the teams forget the competition, forget individual gains, and combine their resources!?

Sure enough, when all the groups joined together it was more than enough to vanquish Mr. Mister Moneybags, because 4-H Camp belongs to ALL of us!

So, yup. Camp was saved yet again.

All in a Friday afternoon's work.
