Afternoon of the Paintbrush Rebellion

After an all-to-brief rest hour to catch our breath, it was time for our GRAND OLYMPICS OF THE COLOR WARS!

The race was tight, but Navy held the advantage. (Violet and Orange switched scores when Violet spun a swap on the Wheel of Prizes. But then Orange won the same swap, so they just swapped back.)

There was a Color Wars Game-Off in the Lower Bowl...

With giant Tic-Tac-Toe.

Campers rushed to the center...

Made their decisions quick...

And rushed back out again.

There's three in a row.

Next door was some good Fort Building...

Dodge-balling...

Knock-Down-The-Other-Team's...

While-Protecting-Your-Own Extravaganza.

Then on to limbo.

And then on to Zombie limbo.

And then some classic Color Wars archery.

You could get points with the point of your arrow...

Points for team spirit.

And even points for smiling pleasantly.

And then you could still get more points with point of your arrow again.

The Craft Shop offered a break by hosting some creative challengess like team sculpture building...

And team crest painting.

Looking ferocious, Navy team.
Then a Frisbee-Toss-Points-For-All-Free-For-All!

Cause one thing about us here at Camp...we love our frisbees.
Do you think we'd leave the lake out of Color Wars!?
The answer is no!

We'd never leave a good ol' Battle for the Lake out of Color Wars!

How do we figure out which event happens next?

Our Coordinators of Fun figure it out as we go, that's how.

And it always works out for the best.

And there's always plenty of time for good ol' water drinking hydration breaks.

As the afternoon was winding down, the Maroon team was still "Maroooooooooooon" howling...

The Navy Sea Lions were still on the prowl...

And our campers still had just as much impressive, energetic Color Wars spirit as they did when the day started.

And we still had a whole evening of events left to go!
