Came THE DAY before Session #1 and the first day of Camp...
Our Lantern Family BBQ and Camp Eve Celebration!

 |

| There were arts and crafts, |

| There was strolling around... |
 |
| Sitting around... |
 |
| Hanging around... |
 |
| And goofing around. |
 |
| The was good Camp food... |
 |
| With good Camp Families... |
 |
| Good Camp friends... |
 |
| And of course, the good Camp staff of 2017. |
 |
| It was such a good time... |
 |
| That even a surprise afternoon shower... |
 |
| Couldn't dampen our spirits. |
 |

| No, it couldn't. |
 |
| (Couldn't even dampen our birthday.) |
 |
| Cause as we know so well... |

| Can't have a Camp rainbow. |

| Some Camp rain. |

| A good Camp rainbow draws quite a crowd. |

| And then the sun returned! |
 |
| (We don't mind the rain, but we love the sun.) |

| And it's back to the Lawn Games! |
 |
| Until the flag was lowered... |

| The Camp families departed... |
 |
| And left just the campers... |
 |
| Who stayed to celebrate Camp Eve! |
 |
| We had our annual... |
 |
| Camp Spirit... |
 |
| Scavenger hunt... |
 |
| To round up the various embers... |
 |
| From last year's campfire... |
 |
| And gather them all together... |
 |
| So they'd be all ready to greet the rest of the campers... |
 |
| Who will be arriving for the first day of Camp... |
 |
| Tomorrow. |
But you already read about tomorrow! You read about that yesterday!
NEXT TIME: We flash forward to (closer to) present day! It was 4th of July at Camp...and we've got some pictures to prove it.
