75th Celebrations Continue with Opening Weekend Workday!

If it seems like we’ve been celebrating our 75th Anniversary for a while, that’s because we’ve been celebrating our 75th Anniversary for a WHILE!

Yes, our year-long celebration kicked off last summer with Summer #75, has continued all year long, and will go straight through this summer’s official 75th anniversary season…or, our:

(It’s a real word. We didn’t make it up! Although, admittedly, it does sound exactly like something we’d make up.)

SEM-ee-SES-kwi-sen-TEN-ee-uhl

semi (½) + sesqui (1½) + centennial (100th)

½ * 1½ * 100 = 75th Anniversary

But, as we move toward the Semisesquicentennial (you'll get used to it) Summer, we've still got a few celebratory events to hit first. Like our OPENING WEEKEND!

Opening Weekend Work Day

Sunday, June 7th

10am-2pm

Opening Weekend is when we really kick into high gear getting ready for summer. Some of our counselors will be in attendance for lifeguard and archery training, and others will be leading up summer preparation projects.

Join in on the fun with in with some 4-H volunteers and alumni on Sunday, June 7th and you can help us get the place ready with some deep cleaning (fun!), trail prep, and special projects.

RSVP here if you’d like to join in. Lunch will be provided.

(Believe it or now, work days are one of our most requested family events! We're happy to provide the opportunity as we continue our 75th festivities.)

After Opening Weekend, we're down to our Lantern BBQ on then summer itself. A year flies when you're having fun!
