Our campaign DOUBLED funds raised since we announced our Matching Donation!

We've got TWO DAYS left in the campaign to reach our goal of $7,500 - which will then be MATCHED in its entirety. 

All funds will go directly to supporting the L.G. Cook 4-H Camp campership program in getting kids to summer camp regardless of their financial circumstance.

The campaign ends this Saturday at Winter Gathering - which YES, YOU should come to - so please help us spread the word far and wide to help get us to across the finish line!

MATCHING DONATION OPPORTUNITY!

 

Exciting news for the 4-H Campfire Council's Annual Campership Campaign!



A generous donor and long-time 4-H Camp parent has offered to match the entirety of the 2024 Campership Campaign up to it's $7,500 goal!



This means that all current donations have already been matched, and all donations received before the end of the campaign (on Saturday, December 2nd at Winter Gathering - which you should come to!) will be doubled as well.

Campership Campaign Hits $1000 - So YOU Get a Video!

Benches are Back!

The first few days of our Campfire Council's Campership Campaign  have been off to a great start. (thanks to all who have already given!  The Campaign runs until Winter Gathering - Join the fun and donate today! Every little bit goes directly to helping a kid get to 4-H Camp in Summer 2024.) 

But, in addition to the Campership Campaign (which, did we mention? Please totally donate to?) we wanted to spread the word about another way you can support 4-H Camp this fall/winter - because benches are back!

Benches are Back!

 

4-H Camp is once again opening up the opportunity for bench sponsorship. One of our most requested giving opportunities, a donation of $1500 to our 4-H Camp Gift Account will sponsor a new camp bench featuring a plaque with wording of your choice. 

 

Our new batch of benches are made from heavy duty, weather-proof recycled plastic. They feature comfortable back support, can easily seat three, and the slats are a snazzy 4-H green.  Benches available for sponsorship will be placed at our newly renovated Leadership Fundraising, on Jim’s Dock with a lovely lake view, a few scenic spots along camp’s trails, and in our expanding “Camp Central” location as we target upcoming restroom renovations and a new infirmary. 

 

Funds raised will cover the cost of the benches themselves, as well as going toward the 4-H Camp Gift Account to help support program, supply, and facility improvements.

It is the belief of the New Jersey 4-H Camp that every child deserves the opportunity to go to summer camp.

To support that mission, The Campfire Council (our alumni/friends of 4-H Camp group) has launched their first-ever Annual Campership Campaign.

You can support by donating now and giving the summer camp experience:

(Donations of any amount help tremendously with our mission of getting a session at 4-H Camp to every kid who wants it. Donations of $100 or more will receive an 2024 Annual T-Shirt and invite to our Lantern BBQ in July.

The 4-H Campfire Council (EIN: 32-0489361) is a group dedicated to the support of both the summer camp program and facility at L.G. Cook 4-H Camp, the New Jersey 4-H Camp in Stokes State Forest. The group is comprised of camper and staff alumni. It is an authorized subordinate within the group exemption ruling held by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, for 4-H Clubs & Affiliated 4-H Organizations certified by Rutgers Cooperative Extension, a unit of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station.

The 4-H Campfire Council supports L.G. Cook 4-H Camp in their mission to make summer camp available to all New Jersey youth regardless of financial circumstances.
