Happy Thanksgiving (And Virtual Vespers Playlist)

Well, it's been a strange and unexpected year (mostly in ways we never would chosen), but it's also been a year that has clearly shown us all we have to be thankful for in our 4-H Camp Community. 

In fact, there's SO much to be thankful for, we're going to be devoting most of December to that idea with our virtual 12 DAYS OF WINTER GATHERING! (More Info Coming Soon.) 

But to start with, we happen thankful that we've already at 25% of our fundraising goal for our Leadership Fire Ring Renewal. (Check out the project here, and contribute here!) 

And speaking of the whole Camp Community pitching in, we were thinking back to how thankful we are that from the very moment all of this started, our 4-H Camp counselors and staff started looking for ways they could help. Way back in MARCH we launched our Virtual Vespers series, and as a Thanksgiving treat, all the Virtual Vespers are now availible for your viewing pleasure on Youtube.

Help Create Our New Leadership Fire Ring!

You can make a difference at 4-H Camp and help us Make the Best LOOK Better for Summer 2021 by donating to the our LEADERSHIP FIRE RING RENEWAL.

We're on a mission to have 4-H Camp looking better than ever to welcome our campers back next summer, and we need your help!

Our Leadership Fire Ring is hidden in a secluded wooded spot on 4-H Camp, nestled next to Lake Shawanni’s spillway. It’s an out-of-the-way location dedicated for small group quality time, team building, and bonding. It is utilized for cabin meetings, small hangouts, s’mores get-togethers, and most importantly as a central venue for our CIT Program.

All of our CITs who missed their final summer as a camper in 2020 will have the chance get their CIT summer in 2021 - and there's no better way to welcome our oldest campers back to 4-H Camp than with a renewed and upgraded Leadership Fire Ring. 

Our spillway and stream, which we're looking forward to incorporating into our Leadership Fire Ring Renewal.

Camp's resident landscape artist, Dreamscape Designs, will expand the existing fire ring space by taking advantage of the proximity to the creek and incorporating surrounding boulders. In addition, we will repurpose the old slate from our Dining Hall flagstones and install a circle of permanent benches.  Most recently, Dreamscape Designs remodeled our Flagstones at the center of Camp, and we are excited for them to bring their proven Camp aesthetic and talents to the renewal of our Leadership Fire Ring.

We are thrilled to be launching a crowdfunding campaign so the whole Camp Family can join together and help make this project happen.

Bench Sponsorship

One of our most popular giving-oppurtunties at 4-H Camp are our bench plaques. 

 

We are adding EIGHT benches to our Leadership Fire Ring, so we are opening up the opportunity for just EIGHT more bench plaques at 4-H Camp. 

We are offering bench sponsorship for a $1000 donation for our Leadership Fire Ring Renewal and Make the Best LOOK Better Campaign.

Folks are always asking about how they can get a bench plaque - the chance for that sponsorship is NOW!
